Joe Raulinaitis grew up in Central Massachusetts spending an adventurous boyhood roaming the countryside or reading mostly historical books ordered from a book club his mother enrolled him in.
Early on he found a passion for historical events and the characters that were involved
in them. He later studied government and communications as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin. His early career was spent as a journalist and photographer in
numerous newspapers and magazines.
Raulinaitis joined the Army and served both overseas and in the United States. He was later commissioned as an officer and assigned as a journalist in the Army Reserve and the
Massachusetts Army National Guard. During this time he also maintained a civilian career as a public information specialist for the federal
government. Many of the articles he researched and wrote had a deliberate military or historical theme.
His interests and work have taken him over much of the world. He is the winner of the Keith l. Ware Award for military journalism in Honduras and a recipient of both
the Meritorious Service Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal.
An active member of Saber Rose Productions he strongly believes that the organization’s artistic goal is to both entertain and inform viewers of the the people
and events that have shaped our lifes and world all of us live in.
A former equestrian and avid fencer he is a resident of Massachusetts.
